Allowance System For Kids

I found this on another bloggers blog. (http://thepapermama.com/) Thought I would share it with you all :) This would be great for nieces, nephews, grand kids too!

Allowance System for Kids
Teaching my daughter to give back to those in need is very important to me. I want to raise her to be kind and understand that sometimes people need help and if we can help them, we should. Recently Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company asked me to share how I’m teaching my kiddo to give back to the community.
On the playground the moms and I often chat about what we do to “reward” our kids good behavior. Three years ago, when my daughter was 3, I had a good jar and naughty jar system to help me get her to listen (please put your pajamas on when I ask, please). Eventually she grew out of caring about the rocks and realized money is pretty amazing, so I changed up our reward system. Our new system has a “Fun” jar, “Bank” jar, “Donation” jar, and “Allowance” jar.
  • The “Fun” jar can be used however she wants! When we first started the money jars she wanted to use her fun money to take us out to lunch (very sweet), but she’s since changed her mind and likes to use that money to buy toys, or cool bug eating plants.
  • The “Bank” jar is the money that goes directly into her savings account. We set up a savings account in an actual bank and when that jar is full, we deposit the coins in there.
  • The “Donation” jar is used to give back to our community. My daughter gets to choose where the money goes, as long as it helps someone. Once we bought toys for kids, and another time we bought food for a local food drive.
  • The “Allowance” jar is like the bank. This is where my husband and I dump our change and we grab money from here for my daughter’s allowance. When she cleans her room, or makes her bed each day during the week: we grab a small handful of coins and she spreads them evenly between the “Fun”, “Bank”, and “Donation” jars.
It takes her a couple months to really fill these jars up and I’m always surprised by how much money is actually in those tiny jars. If my kiddo isn’t listening we do threaten to take away some allowance (we would only take from the “Fun” jar), but we’ve never really had to take any away.

BUSY BEES!!

Aha! Well! it has been a little bit since my last entry.

This last weekend was SUPER busy! It went by FAST! We didn't do anything on Friday night. Saturday we went to the zoo and met up with our friend Laura and my great-grand-sponsor Michelle Larson Johnnie and her family. They are so nice! It was great to spend time with them and get to know them. Her husband Chris was so nice and he got along great with Brad. I wish they lived closer. Such fun down to earth people. Here's a pic we took together:)

Michelle and her children are on the left, Laura in the middle, and Brad and I on the right.

Then on Sunday we went to a meeting at Llywelyns Pub and Grill on Main St. in St. Charles!

:) After that we went to Christina Koenigs birthday party! :)

This weekend I am not sure what we are doing. I do know that today marks 2 weeks until Vegas for Paparazzi Accessorie's CONVENTION! ahh!! #thatmoment2016 I am so excited! I started packing my suitcase tonight #dontjudge haha

So, I must ask..what team are you on Pokemon go if you play? Brad and I are Team Mystic (mainly because his cousin Chris is team Mystic haha)
On that note, I am going to close. Hope you all are doing well. If you have any blog ideas let me know! :) Sometimes it's hard to think about what to write about.

Love y'all!

TR Hughes

HELLO!!!! :)

Well, it's been a while since I have blogged so I figured I would pop online and tell you about whats been going on lately.

We had our 4th of July 3 day event and we did well. We had a lot of fun. It did rain but we did have times where it didn't and we were able to get customers! Next year will be even better! I am excited.
We got to meet a lot of new people and friend people on Facebook and put them in our shopping groups. I love meeting new people and hearing others stories. It's always nice to be able to put a smile on someones face too. Have I mentioned I love my job? :) Here are a few of the pictures from the event.

I have a meeting tomorrow night to meet with a manager at a restaurant to discuss an "Eat and Shop" that will take place once a week! I am so excited. This would be a great way to meet new customers and hopefully new success lines. #changingpeopleslives5dollarsatatime #bossbabe #blessedblingqueen

This last weekend was a lot of fun. Friday was grocery shopping (woohoo lol) and then Saturday we went to a birthday party for a Papa sisters son. Peyton turned 6! He's getting so big! :)
Sunday we went to see our 2nd cousin (she calls us aunt and uncle) Madelyn (AKA Mighty Maddy) in the hospital.. Poor thing has had so many bowel issues. Good news is she had the surgery and was released today. WAHOO!!  After we went to the hospital I dropped Brad off at the house and then went to a Starbucks meeting to see Marilyn and a few others. :) We decided to leave Starbucks and go to the park...stayed there until dark and then went to Steak and Shake. Here's some pics from the weekend.

Oh! I can't forget to talk about Krystal's AMAZING outfit yesterday! Her Mom ordered a dress from one of those foreign websites that ship from China. Needless to say that the dress was WAY too short so Krystal made it an ADORABLE blouse and dressed it up with Paparazzi and cute shoes! She's so creative. LOOK at that hair flower!! ah! TO. DYE. FOR! ROCK ON KRYSTAL! All of her accessories all together cost a total of $20!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? where can you get stylish jewelry for $5 bucks a piece? Paparazzi of course! www.blessedblingqueen.com

We have an amazing promotion this month for those who are wanting to sign up and become a consultant for Paparazzi Accessories! check it out!

Okay, it is now 12:10AM and I am getting tired so I will close for now. I do hope that you all are doing well. Remember, if you have any questions or have a blog suggestion..please message me or comment!

Love and hugs,
